The Quiet Customer Success Leader
The CSMs who keep accounts don't make noise. They build calendars no one else has to think about.
The loudest customer success leaders aren't usually the ones with the best net retention.
The ones with the numbers are doing something quieter: they've built a calendar of touches — check-ins, QBRs, renewal prep, escalation drills — that runs whether anyone is paying attention or not.
When the founder asks 'how is account X', the answer takes 20 seconds, not a Slack scramble. That speed isn't intelligence. It's infrastructure.
Build the calendar first. Be loud later, if you feel like it.
